Follow our easy essential tips and ideas to look perfect on your big day.
For the month leading up to your wedding you will be busy preparing and its important not to forget to prepare yourself for looking your best on your big day.
Firstly you should aim to be getting plenty of sleep, around 7/8 hours in the ideal amount. Secondly you should be aiming to drink at least 6 glasses of water a day, as water washes out in toxins that may cause blemishes to occur. You should also consider cutting down on alcohol consumption.
On your big day you will be the star and everyone will be looking at you, so it is important to be comfortable. If you normally wear your hair down, then consider sticking with this for your day as having a big updo may leave you feeling uncomfortable. Similarly if you normally wear your hair up you should avoid a down hairstyle. All these issues can be discussed with your hairstylist. You should aim to have booked your hair stylist 3 months before the wedding, and book at least 1 trial. To help aid your stylist to achieve the best possible look for you start collecting pictures of hair styles that you have seen and would quite like to try. Remember it is your day and do not feel pressured into choosing a hair style that you’re not sure about. You may like to consider taking a friend or relative with you to help decide.
If you have a regular hairdresser you may consider asking them to do your hair for the big day as they will know your hair and what will and won’t work.
It has become increasingly popular lately for brides to be doing their own make-up, but be aware that in photos your normal make up may not show up. It is important as well not to use any new products leading up to the wedding as the last thing you would want is an allergic reaction. If you are going to use a professional make up artist, always leave time for a comprehensive meeting and trial to discuss exactly how you would want your make up, remember it is your day and you need to be comfortable with your make up. If generally you don’t wear a lot of make up be sure to tell the make up artist this to avoid any over made faces. Remember you want to feel as comfortable and beautiful as can be. Many bride’s go for a very natural look using neutral tones.
On the day of your wedding, be prepared for any touch ups. Maybe ask a close relative to carry a hair brush, some hair spray and some lip stick for those last minute touch ups.
