Richard Birtchnell, The London Toastmaster - As a member of the Society of London Toastmasters, Richard is one of the elite group who operate to highest possible standards with unrivalled knowledge and skills, retained by the most prestigious clients in the finest venues. Such experience is available for weddings of all cultures, including Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Greek and Jewish. On the big day Richard will check the venue is ready one hour before guests arrive, direct guests to the reception, organise the receiving line, help the photographer, liase with musicians, call guests to the wedding breakfast, introduce speeches, stage the cutting of the cake, the bouquet toss and all-important first dance and above all, run the event to time.
Richard was formerly an event producer so when you engage him, you get more than a Toastmaster. He's not only a master of logistics with an eye for detail, a sympathetic ear, a strong clear voice and a safe pair of hands, but an event expert with decades of experience.
He will consult with the bride and groom on every aspect of the wedding day and agree all timings, procedures and protocol and will advise on ceremonial precedence and correct forms of address.
